Book Printing Process

Wondering what happens once you place an order with DiggyPOD? Take a quick tour with us to see what happens step by step as we publish your manuscript!

The first step of the book publishing process takes place in the prepress department. Our prepress department runs your files through an extensive quality check to make sure your book is going to print correctly and that the final product will look amazing. The prepress quality check takes between 45 to 60 minutes for each book order. If we've got any concerns, we'll reach out to you, the author, to address them. Otherwise…

From there, the prepress staff uploads online proofs for customer final approval. Once you've approved the proofs, your order is assigned an estimated ship date. At this point your order moves to the printing department, followed by a trip to the binding department. The final leg of a book's journey is to the trimming and packaging department, where all the last touches are put in place. Then, your order ships out!

Throughout the entire book production process, you receive email updates on the progress of your order. You're always in the loop. And if you ever have any questions about your order, call (877) 944-7844 to speak with a live person here in our office who is happy to help.
