In today's book printing market, Lulu is one of the largest short run book printers in the United States. Lulu does a lot of reprinting, whereas DiggyPOD is focused more direct author book printing and self publishing. Of course, DiggyPOD is not even a tenth the size of Lulu, an advantage that gives us better control and allows us to produce a higher quality book. Lulu uses an outsourced printer that they pay to print the books ordered through their website. These subcontracted printers tend to be less interested in the quality of the books they print as they do not understand how important it is to the author.
