Tracking Your Book Order

Project Tracking

Some of the larger short run book printers such as Blurb lose sight of the importance of tracking the progress of a project. If you want to be able to know the status of your order at any time throughout the process, you need to make sure you find the right book printer. At DiggyPOD, we recognize the personal importance of self-publishing and have an open communication policy whereby every one of our customers can know the exact status of their order. If you want to follow your order throughout its printing journey make sure your use a company that will alert you every step of the way.

Project Tracking

Once you place your order, we will assign a member of our customer service team to your account. This employee will verify all your files are in the correct format and are ready to print. When your book is ordered, it will enter our Preflight Checklist. This checklist covers:

  • Font Embedding
  • Front & Back Cover
  • Spine
  • Text

Project Tracking

We know how important these projects are to our customers so we want to make sure they can always know the progress of their project. We take the following measures to maintain this policy:

  • Access to any department to answer any question you have.
  • Quality control steps to ensure your work is formatted and ordered properly.

You will be notified if there is anything that needs to be corrected. At this point, the book is ready to print, which can take anywhere from 1-3 days depending on the order. You can follow the status of your order in the Job Journal portion of your dashboard.

What You Get

Throughout the book printing process you will receive several emails with updates to the status of your order. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email when:

  • Your order has been placed.
  • All your files are in the correct format.
  • Your book has been printed.
  • Book binding is complete.
  • Your book has been shipped.

Allowing someone else to register your ISBN number can limit your distribution and printing rights, making it costly or impossible to independently print again in the future.
